Hi - Having read martin's article in this week e-mail, I have decided to open an account with Tesco and take the opportunity to earn 1000 clubcard points, but I have a couple of questions:
1) They mention if I have a deal code to put it in - it starts with Tesco, but not sure what the rest of the deal code is and do I need it?
2) If I open accounts separately in my OH's name and my own, do I get double tesco points, even though we have two clubcards under one account?

You don't need to enter a deal code. The extra points will be added providing you meet all the terms and conditions and have the money sitting in the account on the right date.
