It depends on the carpet (wool/synthetic) and the stain! Generally, for small spot stains, I use either bio washing detergent (liquid), flash liquid, Fairy liquid or normal bar soap. Put a little on a wrung out wet cloth and attack the stain that way. If it's a wool carpet, I'd use a tiny bit of soap on a just damp cloth. To rinse, keep rinsing and wringing the cloth and rubbing some more
For my carpet (synthetic), I just spray Flash liquid directly onto any stains and rub with a dry cloth, then rinse the cloth & rub again.0 -
There are loads of threads for carpet stains.. run a search!!
