For domains; I've had no issues with Namecheap. You can usually find promo codes on Google as well.

    Vidahost - superb service
  • From what I can remember, 123-reg is the largest domain site here in the UK. You can also host a website and build blogs with it, though I'm not sure if that's what you mean by "website building". I would post a link but can't as I am a new user.

If you're referring to a web design company, you can find loads of them nearly anywhere... it all depends on your tastes and preferences. I haven't worked with a web designer from the UK before so I can't give an honest recommendation.

On another note, how lovely of the OP to bother to say thanks to anyone.
  • Namecheap for domains dont go for godady unless your using the auction (and even then I'l transfer over to namecheap once brought)

Webhosting will depend on what country your business is targeting, mainly selling to US customers use a host based in the US, same goes for UK

As for design wordpress will do for most websites I wouldn't use one of these ecommerce builder websites

if your building a ecommerce website choose your merchant account and work everything around that, In the long run this will save you huge sums!

Namecheap are by far the best, avoid GoDaddy like the plague.
  • I strongly recommend you to buy your domain at namecheap.com.
If you do not have much money, you can seek for wait its discount. Recently, I have purchased a .com domain with only 0.96$ including free WhoIs guard by the site's coupon.

It is better if you use a host that has Uk based servers as far as SEO goes . . .
