daughter wants a steamer to clean the kitchen with, i'm of to do some research, but wondered if anyone had seen any bargains at the moment.

Having read several posts on here and elsewhere - do be wary of 'bargain' steamers. There are apparently very many fakes around which last 5 mins then stop working. Italy is one source of these fakes.
