Self Employed Since 2001 - Returning to Work

I've been running my own small, online business since 2001. I write and sell software for the blind. Sadly, my income has steadily decreased since 2008 and despite starting to work locally as a PC repairer I fear that this month we will yet again have to delve into our savings to pay the bills. Additionally, my wife's mother is sick and we will be travelling to London for 2 weeks. During this time I won't be able to generate an income (as I won't be here!). My wife is not well enough to travel on her own.

Considering this, I need to make some money somehow and am thinking about returning to work. I have no idea where to start and wonder if someone can help me?

If there is work I can do from home - which actually pays! - please tell me as I am a working dad and also a carer for my wife.

Could you adapt and sell the current software as an app on android or iphone market places? I'd investigate that first as it would probably take less effort and hassle to make money from.
