Offered a job, but not the one I applied for

So I had an interview 2 days ago and the recruitment agent has phoned me back today.
Current position:
Accountant(auditor) in big firm, good salary, wide range of clients, ex-bf working in same place.
Job I applied for:
Senior Accountant in slightly smaller firm, with a specialism.
Job they want to offer me:
See current position, with a specialism, minus the ex-bf.
Really don't know what to do, any advice welcome!

Dunno what you should do either but letting an ex-bf see your fabulousness daily is an act of true kindness.

Will you take a pay cut? If so, will this have a real effect(affect?) on your life?
Does the specialism part appeal to you? Is it transferable and will it boost your CV? Or will it close some doors? Is it something you really want to specialise in?
Is there room to move up in the company even though you've not got the senior position? Does having your ex at your current job bother you?
These are all questions I'd be thinking about if I were in your position - only you can make the decision and it's down to the pro's and con's of each scenario I think. Make a list! Are you just feeling deflated because you didn't get the senior position? What does your head say and what does your heart say?0 -

Haha yes, fortunately we spend a lot of our time out at clients so I see him infrequently, but right now he's sitting opposite me and it does bring me down so is a big part of the reason I want to leave.Make a list!
Will do, got a lot of thinking to do over the weekend!
Senior role would be a slight pay rise, non-senior role would be a slight pay cut but not enough to affect me significantly.
Specialism is of interest but not worked in it before, and would also close some doors if it wasn't right.
Definitely room to move up at the company, they're expanding this specialist team and are saying promotion to the senior role in 12-18 months, although that's never guaranteed.
So confused!!!Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0 -

Sorry no it's a permanent role at an accounting firm (places like this always go through agents, but I forgot that not everyone here would know that)Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0
