6 overipe bananas and lots of stale bread?!?

Options
I have somehow ended up with 6 overipe bananas and just over a loaf of bread that is past its best!

Any ideas what I can do with either or both to save throwing it away?

I'd freeze both, the bread warm in oven then crumb up and pop into bags/box for toppings, thickners and coatings. Bananas frozen with skins off make fab lollies or add to banana loaf etc.
One day I might be more organised...........

Mash the nanas with honey and make sweet toasted sandwiches.

I've never made bread&butter pudding because I don't like it, but it might be possible to make it with bananas mixed in.

    Hiya,

If you look in the cooking section of the MEGA Index there are lots of ideas for bananas listed under "Fruit"...

Squishy bananas can be frozen as they are (unpeeled), and are then great used in smoothies straight from the freezer. You could turn the bread into bread'n'butter pudding or bread pudding, or make it into breadcrumbs and freeze it.
