My opinion of the promotion is as follows. People should be able to apply for these vouchers even before they start collecting the papers. That way when 30,000 people have been given the vouchers any extra over 30,000 will miss out and will have wasted money and postage.

So, you simply just print off the conformation you have applied then start collecting the papers.

If RSH want to stop people grabbing many they need to look at MSE. Their promotions work very well. The simple answer to this is because everyone is sat at their PC waiting for 11 AM and 3PM. So, it means that everyone has a fair chance of getting the vouchers. Also MSeE give out about 15,000 vouchers in two minutes.

The problem with the last promotion was the website was up and running with the code works logged on it. So, it meant people just had to guess the answers to see if they were right. Also there was not a word thing at the end so a small number of people used scripts to pull out many codes. The website let people refresh to gain another code, which in turn generated another code form the used pot of codes.

My advice:

1) Use the vouchers the second they hit your account, as they could be gone within minutes when some as Atos realises they have given more than 1 voucher out.
2) Get the tickets posted to you or collect them the day before as RSH regularly mess up the ticket collection
3) Shop around for tickets RSH is not always the cheapest it may be cheaper to book direct as the train companies do not release some tickets to these sellers.
4) Enjoy your trip.

• The redspottedhanky.com £9.50 credit promotion (The Promotion) is only open to UK residents (excluding NI) aged over 18 and excludes employees of the Promoter and all those professionally associated with the promotion.

The e-voucher can then be redeemed immediately as a £9.50 credit against train travel by entering it on the payment page when tickets have been selected or can be entered on the ‘My Account’ area and used at any point against the cost of train tickets purchased up to Saturday, August 30th, 2013.
• Each e-voucher amounts to a total value of £9.50 to be redeemed against the cost of future UK train travel with redspottedhanky.com, including any rail destination within the UK (excluding Northern Ireland), excluding sleeper services.
• If your train ticket price is below the value of the e-voucher then the balance will be retained on the e-voucher until the expiry date. If the ticket price is greater than the e-voucher then all the e-voucher balance will be used. E-vouchers can be used in conjunction with Railcards.

Apologies for the confusion. I was saying that the sun should have this set up so you know you will get a voucher before you start collecting. However, you have to collect to find out if you are one of the 30,000 once you have sent it off.
