Joe Dolan

In another thread I was talking about Joe Dolan and it got me thinking. Of all the artistes I have seen pushed on TV recently, especially the Irish ones, none of them could lace Joe's shoes.

I know some younger people won't know who he is but what about those of us over 40? What's your favourite Joe song? Did you ever see a "Joe Show".

Let me tempt you with one of his classics, Goodbye Venice, Goodbye.

What singer in this modern age can make the hair stand on the back of your neck like this?

The quality of that production was superb too. Timeless.

He went quickly and as far as I can see very little mention of him since, except for a band to go on stage and play his music to a large screen of him singing, don't think that is going any longer either.

TBH I find that really morbid a band playing his music to a video screen of him singing.

    :)
