A tablet for my son

Ok, so my son has a birthday coming up & I want to get him a tablet of some kind so I can claim my phone back.
He is very forward, can navigate my Galaxy S2 phone to apps, knows how to play the games downloaded for him etc.
I can't decide whether to get him something from the kids ranges or, to get a cheap tablet from somewhere like Carphone Warehouse and just download the apps for him.

Any advice would be great. Recommendations etc.

Thank you :)

How old is your son? Kids tablets can be good for games etc but they might be restricted in what they can do, while a normal tablet will provide more flexibility. On the other hand, there is a potential danger if you get a normal tablet and use your details to buy apps that your son may run amok and spend lots of money on apps etc. If your son has particular favourite apps on the S2 these might not be available on a child's tablet.

    Thanks MandyAW92.
Iv opted for the Innotab 2 I. We can buy the game cartridges for him as he gets older then :)

Means I can treat myself to a tablet instead and just download him a couple of things onto that.

I have a cheapo one off ebay last xmas, About £43. Its not bad to be honest.

OK its not upto the major tablets Samsung etc but it does the job.

Its fairly basic so wifi only. I may get one with GPS and bluetooth next year they should be £50 by then also.
