Can you switch mortgage deal without legal work?

As per the title, is it possible to change mortgage deal with the same provider without technically remortgaging and having to get a solicitor involved?

Same provider is merely a change of product.

The existing mortgage charge which secures the debt remains in place.

Thanks. Would that even apply if I was to lengthen the period of the mortgage (ie. increase it back to 25 years)?

If the existing mortgage deed remains in place and no change is made to the title, such as the addition or removal of a borrower/owner there are no legal requirements.

If requesting a new product there is normally no further check by the lender. If changing the term, or repayment method, the lender may undertake affordability checks to ensure continued affordability.
