Venue decoration/flowers help

Options
Am hoping for a bit of insparition as I am a bit stuck!
We are getting married in a rustic ish venue in October. My bridesmaids are wearing merlot (burgundy/wine) wrap dresses and my dress is a champagne colour.

So far I have decided that I would like hessian -- having white or cream table cloths and chair covers with hessian table runners and chair ties similar to this photo:

I am struggling with what to do for the centerpieces and bouquets. I was thinking green/merlot and cream or gold flowers (artificial or real) but I dont really like the traditional flower displays/bouquets.

Would welcome any thoughts :)

  • Agreed Pinterest has tons of ideas for rustic and barn style weddings!

Have you thought about buying bouquets yourself and drying the flowers would give you lovely darker, rustic shades and they will keep for ages! Probably a lot cheaper as well! You can find loads of guides online for doing this? Think it would look great with red, pink and white roses and babysbreath

I love pinterest and have been looking on there quite a bit. When you say buying them myself I don't know what you mean - do you mean buying fresh flowers and drying them and then arranging them? Hadn't thought of that...
