I am looking at moving my pension into a SIPP so I can invest into a couple of businesses. Does anyone know if I have to pay the set-up and annual fees out of my personal finances or can the fees be taken out of the pension funds???

Fees can normally be taken from the pension pot.0

Don't forget you'll have ongoing costs, so it would be prudent to leave 2% of your pension behind in cash to pay those bills in the future.0

I have unlisted shares in a SIPP and the costs are all borne by the pension scheme, which is better because of the tax relief. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.
