This can be difficult to do yourself as you can't see how you are sitting.

            Have you sought any treatment for your back problem? Physio/Chiro/Accupuncture?
My advice would be to cmmunicate in writing and keep copies of everything related to this issue. I had similar problems a couple of years ago and ended up taking legal action against my employer (and won!) Very, very similar circumstances to yours!
Thanks. I've been to all three in the past but its been for my upper back/neck problems, this lower back problem is new and only occurred since my existing work chair developed a fault before Christmas. I'm definately going to look into seeing someone again, just trying to get an appointment with my GP.
So far all communnication has been via email which I've kept copies of. I will make sure I do everything in writing now and will ask for a copy of the assessment because I'm yet to see it. If I need to fight I will do, too many empire builders in my workplace and they are the ones who are making things very difficult for everyone else.0
