I handed in my notice at work and my employer told me they did not want me to work my notice, and said they would pay me for the four weeks notice period.
That period is almost up, and my employer is insisting that I visit the office (which is in their home) to sign for and collect my pay slip, P45 and P60. I have asked them to post it as I do not have any transport, and, more importantly, do not want to go to see them in their home at all. Can they insist I collect the paperwork in person?

I wouldn't have thought so. Just tell them to post it, registered if they wish so they know you have received it.
By the way, you should have had your p60 before now, you should have had it in May.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

As the period is only "almost up", you are still their employee. You don't say when it is proposed you see them.
It seems not unreasonable to me that an employer asks an employee to meet with them. Is the proposed meeting time within your notice period?
Did you go to that place when you were carrying out your duties?
However, they should, as previously mentioned, have issued the P60 to you by last Friday.0 -
Can you not go to your previous place of work to collect it?
otherwise I'd send them a stamped envelope to send it on to me.
If you can't do either, take someone with you and stay outside.0
