My dads one of these men who has no interest in sports or drinking. At best he likes to do a bit of DIY (which he tends to "wing it" and can be a bit of a DIY disaster lol unless its painting.), fish (though he goes like once a year). He doesn't enjoy reading.
His hobbies I'd say are : Walking the dogs, space, aliens/ufos lol, mowing the lawn constantly and attempting the DIY. Hes als interested in what people find metal detecting like old coins thouhh he doesnt Have any. We've bought in the past because of these hobbies- a telescope, binocolars, a metal detector and DIY tools. Most of what he doesn't use. Hes also got like mugs and plenty of shower gels etc He's so awkward!. Hes not even sentimental. Any ideas really what I could make or buy for him?. I'm pregnant and due today so I've got a fortnight to prepare for Father's Day at the most.
Just as a side note , as it'll be my partner's first Father's Day, I'm kind of stuck for ideas too . I don't want to overdue it as his birthdays in July. I was going to get a photo of him and baby when babies born (hopefully as soon as poss) and get it framed for him , and to maybe get a keyring with a picture of them both. Do you think I should get or make anything else or is this ok for his first Father's Day?. He said he didn't want even a card because of money and that but I think he's lying. Should I go with all baby themed stuff?. Maybe a funny book on tips for dads?. He likes space too but enjoys reading, anime and beano annuals etc.

Would you dad like a model kit? Like a balsa wood craft kit or a model car or train?0

I usually end up asking my dad what he wants as he is hard to buy for - he usually has a list of books or sometimes I have bought theatre tokens as he does go to the theatre.
For your partner you could get an 'I love Daddy' babygrow/top and dress the baby in it on father's day. You can also get books about Daddy that he could read with your little one. I think your baby related ideas are great as it is his first father's day, I would plan now though where you are going to get stuff done such as the keyring as you will have enough to do once the baby is born0 -
Yeah that's why im thinking now rather than rushing out evening before Father's Day. Thanks for the ideas. Ill probably end up just asking my dad but he's so fussy he'll probably end up saying he doesn't want anything or chocolates. Nah models aren't really his thing.Expecting our little boy 5th June

Recommend either one season or a box set of these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_8?url=search-alias%3Ddvd&field-keywords=ancient+aliens&sprefix=Ancient+%2Caps%2C373
If he's an aliens and UFO junkie it will amuse him for hours! Plus you can order it online so you can focus on baby0
