A Free Swapping group for Somerset and its Border Neighbours.

I thought as we advertise Freecycle on here that this group deserves a mention too.

SOMERSET SWAPS AND LOANS has been set up to cater for those people who often ask (especially on Freecycle and Freegle) if they can Borrow an item for a few days or even Swap something for something else.
As Freecycle does not allow, we thought we ought to set up a separate group for those who wish to do it.
If we tell others and keep it bookmarked and come here regularly, then word will spread and more will join.
LOANS: There are some rules we will need to stick by as we are dealing with other peoples property, but ultimately it will be the Lender and Borrower who will have to come to an agreement between themselves regarding length of time to borrow the item, who will return/collect it again etc. And also what the borrower will do if he /she damages or breaks it!This group, Somerset Swaps And Loans or Yahoo or The Moderator / Site Owner will NOT be held accountable for this or in sorting it out.
SWAPS: Be sure that when you swap something it is what you want. Don't just accept it and complain later.
It may be a good idea to email your 'swap-partner' a photo of your item.
Remember the item is still yours until you BOTH agree on a swap-deal.
Please do not ask to swap for money.
BORROWING: If you have an item that you think someone may like to borrow this can be listed on the site too.
Then members know that someone has something they are willing to loan out.
Rules will be sent out upon membership acceptance.
Membership is on approval to keep spammers at bay and please tell us which Freecycle you belong to.Replies to posts go direct to person concerned please.
PLEASE REMEMBER: Whatever your interaction is with another member, it is an arrangement between the two of you. Any problems remains between the two of you. Somerset Swaps and Loans take NO responsibility for anything going wrong. But we are all a friendly bunch and i'm sure all will be well.
