The item I hoped to sell yesterday didn't go, the trouble with living rurally is that people don't want to venture out of the towns to collect things
It can come to the car boot sale when when we get round to doing one.
It's a lovely bright day today so I have two loads of washing drying on the line today :T I had to have the clothes horse up yesterday due to the rain which I hate!
I went for a run this morning and dd said she wanted to come with me! < surprised face :rotfl: So we started the couch to 5k programme. It's great that she wants to get fit, I try to set a good example to them with exercise and eating healthy so it's lovely dd wants to join meLets hope she keeps it up :T
I've had lots of requests for money for the kids school and clubs, so I've had to shell out £40 for transport for the school to take them swimming , £15 for a Brownies trip, £5 each for a school movie night plus I still have to pay the termly fee of £25 per child for school activities  It really adds up!
I have loads of mushrooms to use up so DH and I will probably have risotto or a creamy mushroom pasta for dinner, last night dh worked late so I had a random selection of leftovers for my dinner - tofu curry, potato wedges and garlic bread :rotfl: not sure they all went together but it filled me up :rotfl:
Off to take dd to her violin lesson this afternoon then I need to get some compost as my veg plants all need transferring into bigger pots. The're all looking really good, I just hope the slugs and caterpillars don't get them :eek:Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

Another spendy day yesterday paying for dd's sporting activities, hopefully that will take us up to the summer holidays though. It all comes out of the education fund so it's covered by that.
We had a lovely evening meal at a friends house last night so that has saved us a meal which can be carried over to next week, we even got sent home with some left oversIt was a really lovely impromptu evening with lovely friends
This morning the children asked to get some old toys out of the loft and they have been playing really nicely all morning. It feels like they have new toys but without me having to buy any :T I need to find something to go up in the loft now to avoid having too may toys out at once.
This afternoon we are off camping for the night [STRIKE]in the rain[/STRIKE]. I don't know how much this is going to cost as we are trialling an awning for the camper. The company have booked us into a campsite so all we need to do is turn up! :T Hopefully we'll have a nice time despite the weather. there are currently 13 watchers on our old awning - no bids yet. It ends tomorrow so I really hope it sells!
I managed to get some gardening done on Thursday, I planted strawberry plants and transferred the corn, cauliflower and sweet peas into bigger pots. I still need to move the pumpkins and peas and plant some carrot and radish seeds. I'm really pleased with how things are going so far :TMortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

Sounds like you're having a lovely weekend! Amazing that you're getting to test the awning with a free night away - very MSE!
Gardening sounds good. I'd intended to do some here today, but it's so cold and damp I've retreated to housework instead!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning,
It was great to try the awning out, we've bought two in the past and not got on with them (very un-MSE) so to be able to try before we buy was perfect for us. As it turned out we loved the awning so will be purchasing it, but hopefully this will last us for many, many years to come. The weekend itself turned out to be not very frugal, It was so cold that despite taking things to cook for dinner we didn't fancy sitting in the tent all evening so we went to the pub. Then in the morning we ran out of gas so I couldn't cook any breakfast either! Breakfast at 'spoons' for 5 people soon adds up
Unfortunately our old awning didn't sell despite having 18 watchers!it's relisted so fingers crossed for a sale this week. We'll have to look at reducing the price if it doesn't go.
So the purse strings need to be tightened for this week, at the moment we don't have anything planned for the bank holiday weekend so hopefully things will all balance out.
I've got two loads of washing on the line today, I'm not very optimistic about it all drying as its cold and grey again! I hope the glorious weather we had last week wasn't it for the year!
DH had to go to London at an ungodly hour this morning - He should be able to claim expenses though, he also has an expenses claim to put in for a few weeks ago...I need to get him to do that, he's not great at doing these things in a timely manner!

Thanks for popping in FloppyDisk. I know! It would be the first thing I did if it was me :rotfl:
To be fair to dh he did put yesterdays expenses in straight away, he just needs a gentle reminder to do the other oneMortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

May today! Mortgage has gone out but it always takes a few days for the OP to show so I'll update the new total when it does. I'm feeling a bit unsure about OP'ing so much at the moment, we have so many house jobs that need doing, and I feel like I'm juggling with one too many balls at the moment. We'll see how it goes though, We have a list of jobs that shouldn't cost too much so we'll get on with those first.
This weekend I'm hoping that we'll get the decking cleaned, repaired and stained. That will make a huge difference to the look of the garden and should come in under £75. I managed to mow the grass this evening before the rain came down so that has helped things look a little neater. I'm feeling rather  with the dog tonight as I only planted my pumpkin plants in the raised beds yesterday and she has already trampled on themI've made a make shift fence out of some old wood for now but we might need a more permanent solution to stop her getting on them. I also planted my peas out today but they have canes around them so hopefully they're safe!
I had to pop and get a few things from Ald! today ahead of our shopping delivery in the morning. I spent about £20 including some fresh flowers to brighten up the house,. Morris0ns order is at £84 but I think we may end up rejecting some things if they don't have the milk we like. Dh and I like a particular oat milk (barista version) which seems impossible to get hold of at times! nothing else compares to it so I wont be accepting it. I'm thinking about trying to make some myself as we get through so much of it...need to do some research.
I'm stealing MV's list of ms things to keep me n track of the small things- Found £9 in a bag which paid for dd's ice skating lesson :T
- Lunch at mum and dads for dd2 and me
- Washing dried on the line
- Dh put in one expenses claim in :T

Busy day today and I have just felt like sleeping since I got home. I'm trying to drink plenty of water to push me through until bed time.
Shopping came this morning and surprisingly we didn't have to reject any swaps! It all came as ordered, therefore the bill remained at £84.
We had the conservatory people out to finish off the repairs so now we can get ready to decorate :T I'm thinking of a nice dark blue as it's a lovely light room and I think it can carry off a dark colour
Mortgage OP is still not showing on the balance which is very frustrating, the regular direct debit shows straight away but Op's seem to take at least three days
HM pizza for dinner tonight, with enough left over for dd's lunchbox tomorrow :T
No other MS things report today, small or large sadly :rotfl:Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6
