Cattle Class to Club World - Debt Free by 30!

So maybe I should start with a bit about me.....My name is Lisa I am 27, I got married last October and live just outside of Glasgow with my husband and two cats, biscuit and polo!

I have always had credit cards since I was 18 and until I was 21 paid them off in full, I then max them out and defaulted when I moved to Glasgow to party more! Most have fallen off my credit file now but I still have one to pay. Between myself and my husband we have several credit cards and overdrafts. We dont struggle to pay them but I want to buy a house and I need them gone.

To explain the title of my diary - I love going on holiday to the USA - we got married in NYC! for my 30th birthday I dont want to fly economy I want to fly Club World with British Airways on a West Coast USA road trip.

Just now we are just paying the minimum to our debts but have spare cash so will be putting that towards it. We also have several holidays planned before I turn 30 so we need top pay those to. I know I should pay off all the debt first before the holidays but I love planning holidays, it is my hobby lol

I am going to set myself goals in the next few posts....

Thanks for reading :)

Hello! I too love Florida holidays, despite the pesky £3k price that goes with them (£1.5k cost and £1.5k spending money...because I buy a LOT of stuff. I LOVE America) and I've paid for it the last two years just from extra money I've earned, mostly using this site for ideas! You're heading in the right direction!!!

I'm off to Florida in November, and I just need to check the money side of things but I think we're all paid up now (well we booked DIY so we have the money in savings until the car hire, villa, tickets, etc are due) - we were £584 away from it last month so I reckon we're there or close enough! Yay. So it's all spending money now.

I really look forward to reading your diary.

Nice to have a few people reading along already

I have found out today that my old boss has moved onto a new company and would like to take me on as staff. I used to work for her as a second job and I have missed having that second income. My first extra shift will be on Sunday and that Money will go to New York. The quicker that is payed off the quicker I can get this debt down.

Also I have signed up to nectar ad points - going to try and complete the full amount every week until Christmas.

Paid my a few debts this morning and increased my payment to my debts £10 a month so off to update my snowball. Its not much but its a start

Cashed out £5 Amazon on Swagbucks this morning that I will put towards some birthday presents needed next month.

Also have my nectar card up to £5 which I will save for xmas but there hasnt been enough ad points to get me up to maximum this week

Got another extra shift next weekend which will mean I have all of NYC payed off, just need spends.
