I have been using my card for a few months now and just 3 weeks ago, discovered that I got discount when buying a lottery ticket at the kiosk. Now I cant. Has anyone else had this experience buying lottery tickets with the 10% discount card?
PS I know that scratch cards and online lottery cards are excluded.

The savings, for us at least, are really something! :j Downside is that the card expires on July 31.
Found this on another forum:
"I have been into Morrisons (Binley Coventry) this morning and the lady at the till gave me a discount card which allows 10% off all shopping until 31/12/2012. (this is not valid on petrol). There were also ladies giving these away in the foyer.
Morrisons Head Office are sending these cards out upon request. Ring 01274 261000

Phoned number avove and got told new number to phone is 0845 611 6111 (for anyone wondering Warminster isnt one of the stores so no good for me anyway)

Don't bother phoning, nobody has reported success since they've been mentioning specific stores, safe to assume the targeted store list doesn't exist, it's a lie. Scratch that, phone to lodge a complaint with this unscrupulous company if you like ;-)
Deal still available to non-customers targeted by marketeers in high streets."Abandoned0 -
Are you sure you weren't buying other things along with the lottery ticket?
As it only takes the 10% discount off valid purchases within the transaction.0 -
The only Morrisons card I have is for my diesel.I fill up once a month and get points when I have 5000 I think I get a £5.00 voucher of food instore. As I have to buy diesel anyway its no big deal, and Morrisons diesel is the cheapest around I only go there(Sittingbourne) once a month anyway.I think I have about 1900 points so far so by about September I'll get a fiver voucher.0

Morrisons were giving out 2 x 10% discount cards to all staff to give to friends and family a couple of months ago. Valid until end of July. I think some have been put on sale on ebay.0 -

You're wrong I'm afraid. Last night I went to my local M's, asked for a Lucky Dip for the Euro and asked the girl if she would try my discount card. She tried and it came up at £1.80. However, she thought that she wasn't allowed to give discount so called a superviser or manager and he explained that M's dont run the lottery, get very little from it, and so there should be no discount given from the £2. I accepted that, and paid the £2.
Texted my friend this morning because we had been discussing the issue, and she informed me that she had just been into M's, bought her lottery ticket with no other purchase and got her 20p discount with no comment whatsoever from the kiosk assistant.
List of exclusions:
"The 10% Discount Card cannot be used on Cash Back, Tobacco, Fuel, Saver Stamps, Postage stamps, Gift Vouchers, Gift Cards, Lottery Online Game & Instant Tickets, Fireworks, ‘Top-up’ Mobile Phone Cards, E-top-up, prescription medicines, purchases within the Caf!, Dry Cleaning, Concessions and Infant Formula. Discount cannot be claimed as part of our Fuel Saver promotion when purchasing Gift Cards".
Having said that you were wrong, on reading the list of exclusions, it would appear that you are right in theory and that it is the tills that are wrongly set and therefore do give discount with or without other purchases.lAbandoned0 -

Chaos reigns! Friend has just texted back to say that kiosk staff say that an 'instant ticket' is a scratch card" and that discount is given on in-store lottery tickets.Abandoned0 -

I'm not wrong I'm afraid. I've used the card many times and if you add up the purchases and exclusions, the percentage taken off excludes the exclusions.
And yes, retailers only get something like 5p from every lottery ticket sale.0 -
Having just paid £1.80 for a lucky dip for the Euro, I dont follow your reasoning. We get our 10% every time because we never knowingly buy excluded items using the card.Abandoned0
