Do you get a full refund if the item is now on sale?

Hi there money savers!

Hope someone can hep me.

I bought a dress full price from a well know store for £50 to wear for an event this weekend. I asked at time if I could return the dress if it didnt fit and the assisstant said I had 28 days.
That was 3 weeks ago.

Now as it happens I no longer need the dress and have lost weight and I think i want to return it. It still has tags on, is in the nice bag and I have a reciept that states 'the last date for a full refund is June 1st'.

However, if this style dress has gone in the sale will I get the £50 back or just the sale value?

I really would like to know my rights as I really would like the £50 back.

with a receipt you should get back what you paid, unless store policy says theyll only exchange in which case youd get £50 value

when do you plan to Refund the dress? before 1st june?

as you have the receipt, its the managers discretion to refund the full amount, but you have the proof of purchase, so it shouldnt be a problem, even if the items now on sale

Just don't lose the receipt else you will only get whatever it's current selling price is! Else you will be fine as long as you return it before the stated date.
