Why?
How come you're in debt at all?

Thanks for that.
OP, why not at least pay the overdraft off at least - that must be costing you a pretty penny in interest/fines. In fact, why not pay the lot off and start again?0 -
Sorry guys, i didn't realise i had posted two threads. The money is mostly being saved, i do have savings in the bank, The options, where limted. I came into debt when i lost my previous job and was unemplyed for the best part of two years, my new job is tough, but great, only today i done 7 hours at £22 an hour. So I am truly blessed. I will be paying off the debt first and for most. The reason I haven't paid them off, was to gain advice on how to get the most out of paying them off, I am in noway shirking my responsibility. for example maybe if i wrote a letter refereeing FULL payment on the basis the defualts are removed ect.“Oh, so you think darkness is your ally? But you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man, by then to me it was only blinding. The shadows betray you because they belong to me.”0

Erm, they're entitled to the full payment, and the defaults are a factual account! You're on about getting a mortgage. Don't you think any bank would like to know that you view credit agreements as flexible, and they you might pay, but only if you feel like it?!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

That is a fair point, but the truth is, i need to make the best of a bad situation that I have gotten myself into. And if i have the option of paying in full and having some benefit to myself i would be stupid not to.
People seem to be under the impression that I am refusing to pay my debt, this could not be further from the truth, i fully accept responsibility for taking out the credit, had i known i'd lose my job i wouldn't have done so, and i haven't done so since. My debts are relatively small, so thankfully I've seen the light before things got out of control. The point of this post was to see what would be the best route in paying off my debt, and how to best save money.“Oh, so you think darkness is your ally? But you merely adopted the dark. Hi, thanks for the reply, I live at home with parents ( I'm asian so it's perfectly acceptable :P )
I could defiantly cut down at the work food, it is hideously overpriced.
don't feel you have to explain about living with your parents, this is happening more and more these days. My nephew is 27 and earning good money but he's struggling to save enough deposit for a mortgage. Living at home is the only way he can save regularly.
Your second point - take a packed lunch to work, as canteen food or sandwiches from the local sandwich bar can be expensive.

You know what you owe so just pay it?0

Who died and made you my creditor? It's kinda sad that you have nothing constructive to add and spend your sundays trolling.“Oh, so you think darkness is your ally? But you merely adopted the dark. You still haven't explained why your money isn't in the bank either. As it is, it's earning no interest, you're still in debt AND it's a risk of being stolen/lost/burned etc.0
