Use estate agent mortgage advisor yes or no?

Hi. Just a quick question I'm sure i've seen mentioned in this forum somewhere not to use estate agent finance/ mortgage advisor for mortgage. Why not? Friend of mine hoping to buy house and the estate agent offering £1000 off purchase price if she uses their financial services. I may have been mistaken and it wasn't on…

Thanks everyone! I will show her your comments as I don't know details so can't answer some of your questions but will show her them. Will come back and let you know what happens but most of you have confirmed what I thought that the estate agents would know exactly what her max limit would be and push the sale to that limit!
