Cleaning a white leather watch strap

Options
I have a white leather watch strap that is looking a little grimy. It also has a faint pink tinge to it, possibly from it getting wet near something red?

Can anyone tell me how to clean it please? I have searched online and baking soda paste and saddle soap have come up as suggestions, but I would rather get advice from the wise OS moneysavers!

i would try those white magic sponges you get from the £1 shops, i think they are brilliant and use them for all sorts of things. I have cleaned loads of things from trainers, to marks on paintwork to removing ink marks from a leather sofa
