Can someone please tell me if a child covered by csa payments leaves college and claims Jobseeker's Allowance, do csa payments cease and would I need to inform csa child benefit to get the payments stop, or do these government departments interlink to let each other know

No you would legally need to notify them, if jobseekers is claimed then it would be with immediate affect on both CSA and CB, if jobseekers is not claimed, and the leaving date is kind of now, then it will be from the last week in August, but you still need to notify a change in circumstances...
The same if a job is applied for successfully, then you must notify both. Anything other is FRAUD, but don't stress, just notify... For a PWC, for an NRP notification does not necessarily mean it will end right then...
I know it is a stupid question, but is CSA and CB more than Jobseekers...???
If so, then it is probably better for the mother to keep claiming, but not right for the father to have to pay, so it is a hard one in terms of what is right, potentially it makes for bad feelings, but financially i can see the benefits to one and the downside for the other...
And it doesn't teach the child anything other than money can be free if you abuse a system...
Hope that helps...0 -
Notify the CSA they can check if CB is still being claimed.0
