And don't forget to click on "Confirm your vote", or it isn't recorded. It's very easy to forget! (I know ... :o)

    Hi folks,

I'm just back to surveys etc after a couple of years off. I managed to sign into Maximiles which rather happily seemed to have brought forward my ipoints balance, and I've done all my profiles and been through the videos... (more than once)

The problem I've got is they've sent me 4 survey invitations so far, but I've not yet managed to find the surveys.

On the "Maximiles surveys" part of "My Account" it's just got about managing subscriptions and if I press "Get Paid for surveys" from the home page, it just redisplays the home page. Following the link from the email just takes me to the home page... ???

Not sure what's going on. I emailed yesterday after it had happened 3 times and was told that all 3 were closed, but todays I tried to find only an hour and a half after it came in...

Has this happened to anyone else?

PS Damned shame the Bombardier video has disappeared today. That was quite funny.
  • I just logged in 2 minutes after the email came for survey 2783 and I still cant find it.

What kind of quota fills up in 2 minutes!!!

They aren't pop up boxes or something are they???

I've emailed them again. Let's hope they provide a more helpful answer this time...

  • Very quiet in here so presumably noone else had any problems.

Anyway, seems what's happening is my oldish email client is corrupting the URLs on the way through, ie adding extra characters/strings.

Now I know what the URLs are supposed to look like I can adjust them manually. A bit of a pain but at least I've managed to get into my first survey.

  • so, what are the urls meant to look like? i get an error EVERY time i try and do a survey :(

    Good question...

OK... The beginning bit looks like "http://www.maximiles.co.uk/m3click?"

then there should be an "l=" (small letter L) and a number, which in this case was 12 digits long, but that could vary I suppose...

then "&m=" and another number which is your ID and should be the same on each invitiation. Mine is 12 digits.

My email client was adding "3D" between the "=" and number for both bits then adding "&h=3D=" and 32 characters of unnecessary gobbledegook at the end.

I use Eudora, the last version they produced, which is getting on now but I've got something like 20000 emails stored in it so not planning to change client anytime soon...

    Not sure whether that helps...

Found a ad about donuts for 5 pts. Funny thing is I don't usually go in that shop but bought one of those just a few days ago. Choc bit good but not keen on vanilla goo.

Also notice that after playing the same vids for points 2 or 3 days in a row it now says "you have already rated this vid". Is this normal or has something changed...

Forget that. Most of them were working so maybe a few are about to expire or maybe I did them last night after midnight???
