Company gone bust

Hi
I am posting this on behalf of my wife.
She was working for a company, got fired, had to wait till the end of the month for her wages. end of the month arrives and she gets told the company has gone bust.
Can we do anything to recover the wages and other money owed (she's owed notice and a day's holiday). Any information would be great.
thanks

If the company has gone bust, then there will now be some accountants running things, either as administrators or liquidators. Contact them. They'll know the procedure.0
