Good evening.
My partner is a Nurse with the NHS, she joined hospital "X" in January 2012. We had a child and she took Maternity leave in the October. As she was on a 12 month contract she was apparently only entitled to 33 weeks SMP and that should have stopped in May.
Today, we have found out that they have paid her again (well above SMP) but is not an employee of hospital "x"
She went back to work 4 weeks ago for a different NHS trust in a completely different borough.
If our calculations are correct, which I hope they are not, she has been overpaid the past 6 months coming to a total monies overpayment of around £4,700.
Before she taken maternity leave, she was overpaid 3 times, the issue was raised with them, and she is currently paying back the monies from the work before maternity leave.
It is once again an NHS error and the third time it has happened to us, but my question is, what do we do about it?
