Applying for two jobs @ same company

How would a potential future employer view me applying for two different jobs which are both within their company?

Briefly, last week I saw a job advertised, the closing date is today. They rang me today and I'm having an interview next week. However, two days ago I noticed that they have advertised another job that I feel would also suit me. The closing date is the day before my interview.

I'm not sure whether to apply for the second job as well. Would it look like I'm not that serious about the first job?

The two jobs are within the same company, similar jobs but at different branches.

No it would look like you are very keen to work for the company and are willing to be flexible about your options. Also if the jobs are similar and you are interviewed for the first one and are pipped at the post, you could very well be offered the other job without any further interview.
