Your BF has a fine; which he may or may not be paying (you have not told us). The court have issued the arrest warrant. The court want him nicked.
You will have had nothing from Marstons because at that stage it was nothing to do with them.
All that has happened is that the court have asked Marstons to pick up your BF rather than wasting a police officers time doing a simple task. there will no correspondence from Marstons because the debt is owed to the courts. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
He's not committed a crime... He's not being arrested for killing somebody.... It's a warrant for arrest due to a debt issue.
I'm only guessing this because I've checked out the Marston Group website.0 -
He isn't paying anything to a fine at the minute.... Or council tax debt (it's only one of those two things)
So advice? Contact Marstons, admit I lied, and find out what the problem is?0 -

this is NOT a debt issue this is a magistrate court fine issue and could be anything from a dvla fine to a speeding ticketI am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites

I'm guessing because I am nervous to look into it.... If they want to arrest my OH, who knows what may happen, and we have two young children....
I wanted some advice about the best way to tackle the issue before I go ahead and tackle it.0 -

Your boyfriend should ring the bailiff and ask what it's about. If the bailiff won't say anything, your boyfriend should say he wants to work with the bailiff/courts but with the limited information he has, he doesn't even know if the call was a legitimate one and if there really is a warrant out for his arrest. At the very least he could ask which court issued the warrant and then try to get some information from them. What will your verse be?

if your boyfriend doesn't know he has been fine he has the legal right to file a statutory declaration at the court that issued the fine
and if he has been fine and knew about it and moved house he can still send the stat dec because legally he should have received a further steps notice from the court before bailiff involvementI am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites

the trouble is the more you bury your head in the sand the more the issue will escalate and be more of an issue to your young children. it's not helping them by ignoring issues0
