New DCA chasing debt

Haven't been on here for a while, and as always I'm after advice :)

I've got a debt outstanding that was with a DCA from October last year, I've been paying by standing order since then and haven't missed a payment, and I'm about halfway through the debt.

Last week I had a letter about this debt from a different DCA, stating I still owe the full amount.

Is there a template letter telling them to go away and prove they've got the debt, and to get their balance right? Do I need to write to the original company as well (even though they have refused to deal with me in writing from day one so I don't expect them to be any use)? I have had a lot of hassle with this particular debt - dozens of phone calls and when I finally found an address to write to for the DCA, they ignored my letters until I reported them to the FOS. Strange how that got their attention :)
