Moonwalk Edinburgh
Options
For anyone living on the route of the moonwalk here's a list of road closures http://leithlinkscc.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/legal-schedule-moonwalk-20131.pdf, don't know about anyone else but this is the first I've heard that our roads are being closed yet again
. I also get emails from Leith Links Community Council and the latest one has this statement in it Residents living in Vanburgh Place, Hermitage Place,East Hermitage Place,Gladstone Place, Claremont Park and Easter Road may find they may be moved even though the order suggests 2230pm to 1am is when restrictions apply.

can I just say, as a moonwalker, thank you for tolerating these road closures ....I don't know how much inconvenience it will cause you, but please remember it is in all in a good cause.

The only reason I posted it was we normally only get at the most 48 hours notice about the closures which can be a nightmare especially for the businesses in the streets of which there are quite a few. I just thought it would be nice to have a bit more notice.
I don't drive so it doesn't bother me but it is a pain in the bum for the rest of the family and all the B&B's in the street :rotfl:. We weren't allowed to park cars last weekend cause it was the Edinburgh marathon and a few weeks before that it was the half marathon, we also have the mela in August and again no parking for the whole weekend but that might be changing this year.
I've no problem with the Moonwalk I think it's a great thing especially as I'm a cancer survivor myself. I hope you have a great night and that the weather is kind to you.0 -

I can see why another set of road closures would go down well (not!) - so can you say thank you to the rest of the family for me?
Here's hoping Edinburgh has a mini heatwave next weekend (or at least stays dry!)
