    As for the joint liability, the biggest lesson I've learned from that is that joint financial liability sounds great in principal but should be given VERY careful consideration...

    Unfortunately how to deal with a property and the related debt, when a relationship ends is a major problem for many people. In many instances the issue isn't addressed fully at the time.
