Hiya, not really sure if this is the right place but i am sure you lovely people will be able to help
Im just organising a buffet for my dd 1st birthday, nothing fancy but i want to make everything (or the majority) myself rather than purchase ready made 'party food' but im looking at doing some cocktail sausages and can only find the pre fozen big bags, that even i may be a bit iffy at eating.
Does anyone have any ideas of an alternative or do you think it would be ok to cut up larger sausages and serve those? I wanted to do half wrapped in bacon and half on their own and didnt know if they would look silly?!
TIA

cutting a thick sausage diagonally i have seen served0 -
Sainsburys also do cooked fresh ones - look in the cooked meats and picnic food fridges (near scotch eggs etc I think). They are on offer at the moment 20 for £1.
They also sell uncooked cocktail sausages that you could cook yourself - I think these look nicer but I am taking the easy option for my daughter's party this weekend and buying ready cooked.
Cut up big sausages would also be fine I think.0 -
The little ones in the big bags are actually Ok.
People aren't going to be fussy at a buffet.0 -
Tival make some lovely (veggie) cocktail sausages - but you'd never know, just like little chipolatas. No fatty/yucky bits at all. My niece and nephew love them. Sainsbury's do an own brand veggie hot-dog sausage (frozen) which are tasty, too.0
