depends whether you are travelling on weekend or weekday, and if on a weekday, at what time.

That's off peak, and will be £19.30 rather than £21

If this is a daily journey you may want to look at season tickets

I'm not really sure the best route here.

Maybe Basildon - West Ham, then underground to Holborn, making a change at Mile End.

Or you could cycle from Fenchurch Street to Russell Square
