    Well if I do, it's not at the one where I'm registered as a patient, where they work evenings and Saturday mornings.

    I hadn't really thought of this before, but it makes sense. From the doctor's perspective by opening weekends they will be fully utilising the resource of ther premises which is a 365 day a year cost, the only additional cost is staff, and staff are comparatively cheap.

    If it's an emergency, go to the hospital. If it's not, then wait until Monday.
    Doctors are not lazy because they don't work weekends. They work damn hard in the weeks having to deal with moaning patients like the OP.
