Hi
I have a dmp and have made payments, however one of the creditors has not been paid.
I have spoken to the dmp and they told me they are aware of it and it's because it's changing from one (Metropolitan) to another (I'm not sure who) and I need a new reference number.
Has anyone had this before? I know that they are aware but I can't help but worry about it a bit even though I have paid it to my dmp. I don't want anyone knocking on the door because they haven't been paid.
I think they said that they would send a letter with the new reference number to me - is that right? Nothing has been sent so far, how long did it take to sort out?

Who is your DMP with?
Have you had any letter at all from metropolian to say the debt has been sold/ passed to another debt collector? or any letter from the new debt collector?
If not then its likely you will get a letter within the next couple of weeks.
The chance of a doorstop collector just turning up is near zero. In the very unlikely event that it did happen with no warning letters then simply ask them to leave.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
