How do you source product to sell?

I have looked many times on the internet for information but it all seems to be USA-centric and all that, even looking for distributors here in the UK brings in foreign results, may I ask how you find such items to sell and your methodology?

I have asked in couple of threads but haven't received answers yet, and refuse to PM people without permission so thought I would make a new thread

I am not asking for peoples niches or products, just how you go about finding wholesalers

Although I don't do anything in this field, I was pointed to The Wholesale Forums a while back which seems to be quite active. (I haven't posted a link as I'm not sure I should, but the above should be enough to find it.)
