I use plastic containers, but not necessarily ones bought for the purpose. I keep those big lidded yogurt pots, margarine tubs, etc, etc - perfect for leftovers and it's greener than disposing of them without reusing first!

Just be aware that some containers aren't designed to hold hot foods. I've had yogurt pots go a bit droopy when filled with hot soup  Just have to remember to let stuff cool a bit!

I'm a tub person. Tubs everywhere. Fave for ease of use and price are those they use in takeaways (plastic not foil) get 10 for a £1 in £1 shop. Love them, stack well, great for portion sizes aswell. Like bolognese I put 2 portions of sauce in one, or sauce and pasta for one in one, just right for us.
One day I might be more organised...........

    I've been Money Tipped!
I was in Robert Dyas the other day and they sold elasticated covers for bowls, in a set of varying sizes, can't remember the price exactly but it was something like £3 for 30 ... and i thought that was quite a good idea, they looked a bit like mini shower caps. As they were elasticated they would fit all sizes.

Ask at your local shop for their empty 'penny sweet' containers; they're clear, airtight, come in loads of sizes and are obviously for food use. They're really tough too....I've got loads.

Apparently the best thing to use is plastic bin liners, you can use them for up to a week before throwing them away, at least that's what Tesco does in all their stores according to the manager in the documentary shown earlier this week and we all know how hot they are on quality and hygeine.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
