I would highly recommend the sony bravia v series, we purchased a pioneer 40" but had nothing but problems with it we had it replaced 3 times in 3 months sent it back and brought the 47" sony, it great brillant quality we brought it from Apollo they were the cheapest, but the samsung are also good both my son and daughter have samsungs whihc we purchased from a comet clearance store, My daughter has the 32" and it has a little scratch on the base which cannot be seen and we only paid £400 for it, My son went for the 40" samsung and we got that for £900 cause it was old stock but at the time it was selling for £1700.
