Totally depressed

Its not like me to post threads like this but Im really feelings fed up (and thats an understatement)

After loosing my job in march I still havent got employment, my OH's wages are just covering the bills and he thankfully got a charge card with work so we can put petrol and food on that and pay off every month (had to do this as had no income first month etc)

Got yet another rejection letter today and Everythings piling up, threats of court, other companies passing debts on, and I cant now even afford the payment plans Id set up with them all so having to offer £1-2 each to them.

had it all sorted whilst working but now its all gone to pot again and of course the debts are growing and we have new bills at the new house.

No joke Im having to ring companies 2-3 times as they keep messing up our bills, keep sending reminders to our new address saying we owe a whole years water at the last place when they already acknowledged we dont, electric isnt even sorted yet as they couldnt findwhich company the house had last so they didnt even bother to let us know they couldnt take over the supply, i have to ring up and I had sorted it within 1 hr! and theyre not paying me!

Arghhh just a rant really feeling the world is against us, cant move on, want to get married, start faimly etc and it just all seems impossible

Sorry for the winge moment

Hey, winge away, and big hugs coming over from the hypno household.

Life sucks at times doesn't it - no matter how hard you try, something is lurking just around the corner.

But it will get better. Honest it will.

You say you can't keep up with your payment plans. Are you with CCCS or someone, if so give them a call and ask them for help.

If not already with them, give them a call and ask for their advice.

Keep going, you will get there x

Hiya sweetie, really really sorry to hear of your troubles, What is your line of work if you don't mind me asking? maybe the people on here can make some suggestions where to look.
Are you able to do anything from home at all while you're looking? An ebay business or avon etc?

Also how about registering with the temping agencies in town? although not permanent work it may assist you while you're looking and may even become permanent in it's own right.

Also i know it's not great but how about waitressing or bar work at your local pub? could do the evenings when kids are in bed leaving them with oh. This may give you enough of an income to help you out.

Just a couple of ideas but please don't despair, things CAN and WILL get better for you.
With lots of hugs and support

    Hello sugar

sorry you are feeling so low, it really is the pits once dispair comes calling.

I would unplug the phone. Deal with the letters another day.

Take yourself off to the bath for a pamper, paint your toenails have a posh coffee in the bath and generally just slam the door on the world and tell it all to sod off :D

In terms of working, is it your CV that could do with a look over? I wouldnt mind having a look over it if you like, ive helped a number of people with thier cvs on here over time. xx

Anything i can do jsut yell up x
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

    thanks for the replys
We have moved to a very rural area, ive registered with three temp agencies and about 7 agencies for perm work, my last job was as an analyst but it didnt last very long and any job i go for like that im told 'lack of experience' before that it was basic administration which Im trying for now.
OH was with cccs but they dont really keep on people who dont have an income, once he lost his job last yr they said he couldnt keep up the payments, hence trying to go it alone

I have an ebay business but cant afford to start it again, We have sold all our belongings of any value so theres no option there either.
It does feel like the nets closing, i wont give up, but today just feels like there is no answer
Also i think whats made things worse is i have a hsbc account and due to my job loss cannot finiance it, they told me i would pay £25 per £100 overdrawn but refused a further overdraft.
But now are charging £75 a month or more and refuse to stop the standing order paying thier loan so my account is now £500 OD and i cannot get another account anywhere, Ive tried and obviously need soemthing to put wages into, Im waiting on a basic from halifax but its been 4 weeks and still no deffinate 'yes you can have an account' .

Not sure you can live without a bank account

Hey DQ, get in that bath like Lynz says. Is bankruptcy an option for you? Have you considered putting this on the bankruptcy board? It may seem like a dirty word and maybe a tad drastic but at least it may clear your way to crack on with getting married and having the family you so yearn for. Big DFW hugs and good luck, Lenny x

    Hi

I'm really sorry you are having such a hard time. It sounds like you could do with contacting citzens advice because HSBC really aren't being fair. I wonder if you have grounds for a FSA complaint.

Like someone else suggested have you thought about bar work, its very hard to bite the bullet and do it if you aren't used to it but at least its some money coming in. I had to do this when i walked out of a job when I was in my late 20's, I went from being a Stock control manager to bar maid but it kept my head above water for 6 months while i found a proper job, in fact i stayed on for a while after because I enjoyed it so much.

Have looked at IVA's and BK route but non really seem like an option OH would loose his job if he went BK and IVA monthly payments are far to unrealistic we wouldnt be able to manage the them.

Might feel better tomorrow just going to try and forget about it today.
