I have a debt with a company called Arrow Global, I believe it is an old debt that was obtained by them and the orig debt is much older than the date they bought it. I have no idea what company the orig debt was with as it may have been longer than 2003.

A default was set against my credit file with Equifax and over the last few years i have worked hard to get my finances in order. I did write to Arrow Global for details of the account and whom the orig debt was with. They did not reply so I contacted Equifax and they in turn contacted Arrow Global, they never received a reply and took the default off the account.

I have had an email today off Equifax, they have had a response from arrow Global and basically it just asks me to contact them with the account no and details but they have again added this default to my account. Equifax have not give any details as to what Arrow Global reply was.

These are the orig details of the debt orig start 06/06/07 and it should have finished next month 06/06/13

Terms 0 @ £ 0 (Monthly)Status Defaulted
Current Balance £ 1,130 Start Balance £ 0
Credit Limit £ 0 Default /Delinquent Balance £1,130
Start Date 06/12/2006 Date Updated 11/12/2011
Date Last Delinquent
Default Date 06/06/2007

My worry is there is an updated date of 11/12/11 now this date did have a company called Makenzie Hall against it, now it has been re-added it hasn't. Can anybody help, and will that default come off my file on 06/06/13 as it states on checkmyfile.

Thanks Neal.

The default will still drop off your credit file 6 years from the default date. (On equifax its actually often a couple of weeks after 6 years that it will drop off, on experian and noddle its exactly 6 years).

If all this triggers arrow (or another debt collector) to write to you again then send them the prove it letter in reply.

Worth keeping a copy of your equifax file showing the default date as 06/06/07 just in case. If it ever reappears with a different date it would be much easier to get it removed again.

I'v reopened another dispute with Equifax, just asking them to clarify that it will come off on the 06/06/13 and what info Arrow Global gave them.

Do you have any idea what the date updated 11/12/11 meant, I was worried this was another default start date..initiated by Arrow Global..

    Thanks Neal.

The "updated" date is not another default, and it does not effect when the original default should come off.
