    If she's made some payments directly to the loan company, and you could provide evidence of that, then you might have success with a small claim using MCOL. The fact that she made the payments would scupper any suggestion that you gifted it to her, or that she paid you cash up front for it.

    For the sake of £35 and a bit of paperwork, and given that she's a witch who's quite happy to rip you off, have a go with MCOL.

  • Tell her that unless she gives you the sofa back, you will stop the payments, you will tell the furniture company where it is, and as a result of that the sofa will be repossessed by the furniture company coming to collect it in a large brightly coloured van with the words "property repossession" and "bailiffs" written all over it!

    she may return the sofa to you, less (for example) 18" chopped off the end, which is the part she has paid for.
    That would be Sofa king funnny. :j
