As far as I'm aware even if you are utilising the HTB scheme you are still getting a 'normal mortgage'.

If this helps, we got AIP 25th April, forms then sent off to HTB, approval from them took 2 weeks due to backlog, full mortgage application submitted 8th May, payslips etc requested, survey instructed 16 May, survey carried out 23 May, awaiting mortgage offer (fingers and toes crossed).

    Hope this helps.

Frankly, I'm surprised NatWest would accept you for a mortgage when Halifax would decline. Was the missed payment involving a LBG account?

Applied to natwest last week, passed the aip credit search then proceeded to full application. Rang them on friday and they said its going ahead and they just need proof of deposit and survey to be done.

Seems a pretty quick turn around atm. Calling my Fa on Tuesday to hand in proof of dep and instruct a survey im hoping !

King street- no the late payment was on my orange phone bill account. It sounds like natwest are being quite quick lately- could it be a good sign that we haven't heard anything back yet? I'm thinking perhaps they haven't needed anything from us which we haven't already provided so are going ahead with the valuation?

Have checked and the first was a credit search and the second search was a follow up so the same as you apart from only one follow up
