Cigarette smell on food containers

Does anyone out there know how to get rid if cigarette smell from plastic food containers (like Tupperware) ? My mother frequently gives us the products of her baking in such, but the smell of the container itself puts us off the contents! :question:

I would try filling them with water, a couple of slices of lemon and put the lid on (not sealed-but it will help keep the steam in)..and nuke them in the micro for a couple of mins...its good for getting smells n grease off the micro too..2 jobs at once..a bounus :-)
if that doesnt work, get some bicarbonate of soda and mix to a paste and rub on with a pot sponge, leave for as while and rinse off...bicarb is also great for stopping smells in the fridge..just put some in an egg cup and leave at the back!!
