Yes, Im sure I would have ticked the 'no' box too. Even any sneaky ones as people on here are so good at warning you when they post the comps.

Me ~ Yes
Them ~ I'm phoning to blah blah blah
Me ~ Starts talking while they are still going through the rubbish they spout, I'm sorry I'm not interested By Now Puts phone down on them while they are still running through their blah blah blah

Yep, me too. About lunch time, only it was a woman calling - they must have a whole long list to go through. Strange they're doing it on a bank holiday.

Like everyone else I'm very careful with the tick boxes.

Ahhhh! I had a missed call from a private number. Maybe it was them! As you say - strange on a bank holiday!

Had a missed call y'day but they caught me today.

They don't like the word NO as I had to keep repeating myself.

Ticking/unticking obviously doesn't always work!

They're probably ringing today because it is a bank holiday, so more will be in to take the call.
