Had an account with Natwest. Account was defaulted on 18/4/2007 so should have drop off date of 18/4/2013.
Checked Noodle, Experian and Equifax this weekend to confirm account no longer showing. All gone on Noodle and Experian but now saying 6 months arrears with Equifax as of May 2013. Same start date but now updated balance of how much left owing (have been making reduced payments towards the debt, but paid it off as partial settlement on Friday)
Have sent a complaint to Natwest and Experian about how it should have been removed 6 years after original default date.
Should I have done this or are they right to now put it as 6 months in arrears now the 6 years from the default have passed?
Seems strange how it has disappeared from 2 of the 3 CRA but reappeared as arrears with this one.

This is the second time in the last two days I've read about this happening with Equifax. I wonder if it's possible that Equifax are doing this themselves, rather than the creditor doing it. I can't think of a reason why they'd properly update two of the credit files but mess up the Equifax one. What will your verse be?
