DVD Rewriter Bargain

To anyone looking for a top spec Rewriter I can recommend the LG GSA-4163B which is a 16 x Super Multi - in real language it will play and write to almost any type of media. I got mine for what I think is an absolute bargain. The full retail version, boxed with leads, instructions and software from Dabs at the below link - the cost was £37.62 with 6.00 next day delivery. The cheapest I found elsewhere was well over £50.

I am after same DVD writer.
wondering if I can get a free shiping... ?
any codes will help.
however the same is available at pcworld for 46 pound.. under reserve and collect scheme.
if I don't get any discounts elsewhere I will prefer to buy from them.
atleast you will get a Face to Face customer service from PCworld.0 -
Just make sure you get the retail version which comes with the software and instructions unless you are happy to install a bare drive. The Dabs is retail.0

Beware of Dabs if anything goes wrong they are a nightmare to deal with...

I have used DABS in the past and had nothing but problems with them trying to return a faulty DVDRW under warranty
It took countless emails and 4 months to get it sorted.
I've just brought an LG GSA-4163BA from Microdirect
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=8316&GroupID=42
for £40.53 including VAT and delivery which beats DABS £43.62, but it is an OEM0 -

yep, they'll look at your face, you'll look at them, you'll tell them it's broken, they'll look at your face, you'll look incredulous, they'll look at your face, you'll get angry, they'll tell you to talk to manufacturer, you'll want to punch their face, they'll look at your face
ah the benefits of face to face <irony> 'customer service' at PC world </irony>
as an aside like brookfield I bought it from microdirect a while ago, OEM too but all worked fine, nice and easy to install and well boxed0 -

Cheaper in EBuyer as well. For some reason the Retail Boxed versionis cheaper than the OEM version.0

well for the sake of balance, i'll say I had no problems with them, ordered and delivered quickly, well packaged, goods as described and would use them again.0 -
Also for the sake of balance, beware of ebuyer....
In fact, pretty much anywhere online that is cheap for computer parts tends to have cut the costs somewhere, and thats usually on the customer service.
"Caveat Emptor" and all that......Why pay more than you have to?0
