Caution listed incorrectly

Hi there,
I was given a caution some years ago regarding a small thing and the title of the caution was simple enough to recite BUT having had a DBS done, I was astonished to see that the title of the caution was actually different in the fact that it was the caution told to me with an addendum which makes me sound like a real criminal which I am not. It probably means that my job offer will be retracted however I am really angry with the fact that I have apparently '...facilitated the commission of an offense' when thats not what I signed for when the caution was adminstered! I have heard that it is difficult to get the DBS unit to acknowledge and correct the information.
Does anyone have any advise or experience on how to dispute such mistakes?
Thanks

Do you have a copy of the caution from when you signed it? You could produce that. I would make some enquiries and tell them the difference, I very much doubt they will change it though. Fingers crossed you keep the job0
