Looking for work with agencies

Hey guys the jc have put alot of pressure on me to look and register at agencies. Iv tryed to search google but I think its misunderstood what im actually looking for haha. How do they work? Iv been told you could get alot of work and then maybe get nothing for a week or 2. Also that they take a % off you.

Iv got my own home renting and live with my gf and two children, I dnt want to do anything were i go with no money for even 1/2 days i need to support my family to the full. If i was single with no children id jump onto it.

Agencies find work for you, whether it's temporary or full time.
They don't 'take a percentage' of you wage. If you're working temporary then you're working for the agency rather than the client; so they'll charge rate A for you, and pay you rate B.

No agencies find employees for clients not the other way round

Yes so look online for jobs that are advertised by agencies and apply for them. If they want to see you they will be in touch and always chase up the application

And if the agency is local give them a call.

What do you mean how they work?

Well you apply for either a temp job, contract or perm job depending one what they have.

Where can you look for agencies?

Don't mean to be funny but where or how do you apply for jobs now?
